The Rockledge Raiders pounded the Stranahan Dragons 33-0 in West Palm Beach on Saturday. It was a two-quarter game between both teams.
Things started off wrong for Stranahan on their first possession. Their quarterback threw an interception at 10:12 and Raiders defensive back Virgil Marshall returned it to the Dragons 14-yard line. Two plays later, Rockledge scored on a four-yard run up the middle by running back Ladarius Tennison with 9:30 to go in the first. Raiders linebacker Zachary Lovett got a safety at 7:39 when he sacked the Stranahan backup quarterback in the end zone for a 9-0 lead.
Rockledge scored on their next drive with 5:40 to go in the first quarter and led 15-0. Wide receiver Terrance Griffin pulled in a 24-yard touchdown catch on the left sideline from quarterback Avery Smith. They increased their margin to 17 points at 5:40 when defensive end Dasani Robinson tackled the Dragons quarterback in the end zone for another safety.
It led to another score for the Raiders on their next possession with 1:18 remaining in the opening quarter. Smith dashed in from one yard away to make it 25-0.
It became a 31-0 lead for Rockledge at 8:28 of the second. Smith found wide receiver Demetrius Robinson on the left side of the end zone with a nine-yard toss. The Raiders compiled their third safety of the contest with 4:35 left when defensive lineman Andrew Diaz sacked the Stranahan quarterback.
