Marlins Edged By Cubs

The Miami Marlins were stopped by the Chicago Cubs 3-2 in 11 innings on Wednesday night at Wrigley Field. The Marlins have dropped five of their last six games while the Cubbies have prevailed in nine of their last 10 contests.
Miami(10-26) scooted out to a 1-0 lead during the top of the first. Starlin Castro lined a base hit into left field for Curtis Granderson to score.
In the fourth inning, Chicago(21-13) leaped in front 2-1. Javier Baez knocked in Kris Bryant with a single to left-center field. Anthony Rizzo would later cross the plate on a passed ball.
The Marlins stayed alive during the ninth inning and tied it up. Isaac Galloway scored when Miguel Rojas grounded out to second.
The Cubs finished the game with a walk-off home run for the second straight game against the Fish. Jason Heyward led off the 11th inning and sliced a 1-2 pitch above the left-field wall for his sixth homer of the year.
