Mets Get By Marlins

The New York Mets defeated the Miami Marlins 4-1 on Saturday night at Citi Field. The Marlins have lost five straight games and eight of their last nine.
Miami(10-29) broke out to a 1-0 lead during the third inning. Sandy Alcantara doubled into left-center field to score Jon Berti.
The Mets evened it up in the bottom of the fourth. Michael Conforto provided a base hit to right field and Robinson Cano crossed the plate.
In the sixth inning, New York(19-20) poured on three more runs to make it 4-1. They were able to get back-to-back solo home runs from Pete Alonso and Conforto which landed behind the right-center field fence. Jacob deGrom later drove in Brandon Nimmo with a single into center field.
