The Washington Nationals beat the Miami Marlins 9-6 on Sunday at Nationals Park. The Marlins finish a seven-game road trip on Monday in Washington.
Washington(22-31) compiled four runs in both the third and sixth inning. They had a comfortable 9-0 lead over the Fish.
Miami(16-34) put up several runs to make it look respectable. The Marlins got a pair of runs during the eighth and chalked up four more runs in the ninth.
