The Santaluces Chiefs shut out the Archbishop McCarthy Mavericks 14-0 on Friday night in West Palm Beach. It was a two-quarter contest held at Cardinal Newman.
After Archbishop McCarthy punted the ball away to end their drive, Santaluces scored on the second play of their first possession at 10:03 of the first quarter. Running back Val Carnegie sprinted down the right sideline and scored from 70 yards away.
In the second quarter, the Chiefs expanded their lead to 14-0 with 1:33 remaining. Carnegie went through the right side of the line from three yards out.
