South Florida Sun-Sentinel sports columnist Dave Hyde has been named the Florida Sportswriter of the Year by the National Sports Media Organization. It is the third time that Hyde has received the award.
Hyde joined the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel as a sports columnist back in 1990. He was a sportswriter at the Miami Herald from 1985 to 1990.
