The Miami Marlins have traded Austin Brice to the Boston Red Sox for infielder Auguendis Santos. It ends the second stint for Brice with Miami.
Brice pitched with the Marlins last season in 44 2/3 innings and had a 1-0 record with a 3.43 earned-run-average in 36 games. He played for Miami in 2016 and with the Cincinnati Reds during 2017 and 2018.
Santos played in the Dominican Summer League in 2019. He had 13 runs batted in, a .384 on-base percentage and a ,184 batting average in 56 games.
