Nets Hold Off Heat

     The Miami Heat were beaten by the Brooklyn Nets 117-113 on Friday night at Barclays Center. The Heat will complete their three-game road trip at Madison Square Garden against the New York Knicks on Sunday. The Heat remained in second while the Nets stand eighth in the Eastern Conference.
     Miami(27-11) finished off the first quarter on a 19-5 run to go up 42-32. The Heat remained in front 69-57 by halftime. Brooklyn(17-20) outscored Miami 32-20 in the third quarter to tie it 89-89 and Nets outlasted them in the final minute of the contest.
     Jimmy Butler of the Heat fell short of a double-double with a game-high 33 points and nine rebounds. Bam Adebayo dropped in 22 points while Goran Dragic added 17 points. Spencer Dinwiddie nailed a double-double for the Nets with 26 points and 14 assists.
