Len Weiner appeared on the 2019 Barrett Sports Media national list for the top 25 program directors of sports talk radio stations in the United States. He was listed in 21st place and moved up from 25th place in 2018.
Weiner is the program director for both 560 The Joe WQAM-AM and Sports Talk 790 The Ticket WAXY-AM under Entercom Communications. He has been the program director at The Ticket since March 2014 and at WQAM since February 2018.
Both stations made some significant changes back in August. The Dan LeBatard Show with Stugotz left 790 The Ticket after a 15-year run and moved to sister-station WQAM. Both stations exchanged national syndicated radio with ESPN Radio going to WQAM and CBS Sports Radio Network to The Ticket.
The afternoon show with Marc Hochman and Channing Crowder began to simulcast a four-hour program on 790 The Ticket and lost one hour to continue a three-hour show on WQAM. Jonathan Zaslow, the longest tenured Ticket morning co-host in station history, and Amber Wilson shifted from mornings to middays while Brendan Tobin and Leroy Hoard went the other way at that station.
