Flyers Fight Off Panthers

     The Philadelphia Flyers outhustled the Florida Panthers 6-3 on Tuesday night at Wells Fargo Center.The Panthers had their three-game winning streak and seven-game point streak snapped. Panthers goalieSergei Bobrovsky did not play after starting in the last 12 games. 
     Florida(36-28-7) broke out to a 1-0 advantage just 1:15 into the first period. Matthew Tkahcuk beat Carter Hart with a shot for his 34th goal of the season. Carter Verhaeghe and Eetu Luostarinen were credited with assists on the play. 
     Philadelphia(26-32-12) tied it 1-1 at 4:43. Egor Zamula cycled the puck from the right point to Noah Cates on the left point. He made a one-touch pass to the middle and Joel Farabee released a wrist shot from above the high slot pas Alex Lyon for his sixth goal this year. 
     In the second period, the Flyers moved ahead 2-1 at the 8:42 mark. Brandon Lemieux fed a pass for a Travis Sanheim goal. 
     The Panthers matched it with 5:43 left in the second for a 2-2 contest. Sam Reinhart passed the puck from the end wall to the left wing. Aleksander Barkov skated with it to behind the Flyers cage. He angled a pass and Brandon Montour placed in a one-time forehand shot from the right goal line for his 13th goal of the campaign. 
     The Flyers would compile three goals in a 2:01 span late in the frame. They got tallies from Scott Laughton, Sanheim and Ivan Provorov.
