NFL Reinstates Calvin Ridley

     Former local high school football wide receiver Calvin Ridley has been reinstated by the National Football League. He was suspended for the 2022 season because of gambling of NFL games. 

     Ridley participated with the Monarch Knights until 2014. He helped the University of Alabama Crimson Tide capture two national championship titles in 2015 and 2017. 

     He was with the Atlanta Falcons when he was suspended by the NFL in March 2022. He was traded by the Falcons to the Jacksonville Jaguars in November 2022. Ridley will be part of their offense during the 2023 season.
