Jordan Yamamoto Retires

     Former Miami Marlins starting pitcher Jordan Yamamoto announced on Monday that he has retired from Major League Baseball. He was acquired by the Marlins from the Milwaukee Brewers along with three other players for Christian Yelich. 
     Yamamoto participated with Miami in 2019 and 2020 and helped the club reach the postseason in 2020 for the first time in 17 years. He had a 4-6 record with a 6.20 earned run average in 19 games. Yamamoto was with the New York Mets in 2021.
