Former Florida Panthers defenseman Steven Kampfer has been traded by the Detroit Red Wings to the Arizona Coyotes for future considerations. Trades can be made by NHL teams after the trade deadline, however the player dealt can't participate in the National Hockey League for the remainder of the regular season and the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Kampfer will play for the Tucson Roadrunners in the American Hockey League for the rest of the 2022-23 campaign.
Kampfer played 73 games over three NHL seasons with the Florida Panthers from 2014-15 until 2016-17. He compiled two goals and six assists with Florida.
