Chris Driedger Off To Russia

Former Florida Panthers goalie Chris Driedger has signed a one-year contract with the Traktor Chelyabinsk of the Kontinental Hockey League. He was traded by the Panthers during the 2024-25 season to the Winnipeg Jets. Driedger did not play in the Natitonal Hockey League this past season.
Driedger had two stints with Florida. His first tenure with the Panthers was for two seasons in 2019-20 and 2020-21. He helped the club to consecutive postseason appearances for the second time in franchise history. Driedger had a 21-8-4 record and a 2.07 goals-against-average with the Panthers in 35 games.
