Phillies Box Marlins

The Philadelphia Phillies passed by the Miami Marlins 2-1 at loanDepot park on Thursday night. It was the final contest of a four-game series. The Phillies were victorious in three of the four contests.
The Marlins will host the Atlanta Braves in a three-game series starting tomorrow. The Phils are tied for first place in the National League East Division with the New York Mets, who they'll host this weekend.
Miami(29-44) had a 1-0 advantage in the bottom of the fifth. Nick Fortes got an infield single for Dane Myers to score.
Philadelphia(45-30) evened it up 1-1 in the top of the seventh. Bryson Stott grounded into a force out and Alec Bohm crossed the plate.
The Phillies claimed the lead 2-1 in the eighth inning. Kyle Schwarber smashed a solo home run to right-center field on a 1-0 pitch for his 23rd home run of the season.
