Marlins Tie Down Giants

     The Miami Marlins held off the San Francisco Giants 8-5 in 10 innings on Wednesday night at Oracle Park. Miami won back-to-back series for the first time this season. The Marlins final contest of their three-game series with the Giants is tomorrow afternoon. 
     San Francisco(44-36) fired out to a 1-0 advantage in the bottom of the first. Mike Yastrzemski powered a leadoff home run off the right-field foul line on a 1-0 pitch for his seventh homer of the season. 
     Miami(33-45) took a 2-1 lead in the top of the fourth. Otto Lopez doubled into the left-center field gap for Agustin Ramirez and Kyle Stowers to score. 
     The Giants evened it up 2-2 in the bottom of the fifth. Christin Koss hit a sacrifice fly to center field and Jung Hoo Lee scored.
     The Fish regained the lead 4-2 in the eighth inning. Heriberto Hernandez drove in Ramirez and Liam Hicks with a base hit into center field. 
     In the bottom of the ninth, San Francisco tied it up 4-4 with two runs. Willy Adames knocked in Dominic Smith on a sacrifice fly to the left-field warning track. Patrick Bailey came up next and singled into left field for Casey Schmitt to score. 
     Miami leaped ahead 6-4 with a surprising four runs in the top of the 10th. Lopez singled into center field and Nick Fortes raced home. Hernandez followed with a two-run double into left-center field which scored Jack Winkler and Lopez. Connor Norby then brought in Hernandez on a sacrifice fly to center. 
     The Giants put up one run during the bottom of the 10th. Heliot Ramos singled through the right side and Koss scored.
