Texans Signing Damon Arnette

     Former Broward County high school football player Damon Arnette will be signing a one-year contract with the Houston Texans. He already participated with the Houston Roughnecks in the United Football League earlier this year.

     Arnette played high school football with the St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders as a wide receiver and defensive back. He won two FHSAA Class 7A state championships with them in 2012 and 2014.  

     He moved on to the Ohio State University Buckeyes for college football. Arnette played 13 games in two seasons as a defensive back with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2020 and 2021. He was selected in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft at 19th overall by the Raiders.
