The Florida Panthers local broadcast will be on flagship station AM 560 Sports WQAM-AM in Miami along with affiliate Sports Radio 1230 The Gambler WBZT-AM in West Palm Beach for the third straight Stanley Cup Final. Doug Plagens, a Syracuse University grad, is the play-by-play announcer, Bill Lindsay is the game analyst and Kevin Rogers is the studio host. Plagens is in his club-record 10th season at the post. Lindsay and Rogers, a Florida State University grad, are in their second stints on the radio broadcasts.
The Edmonton Oilers local broadcast will again be on CHED-AM, but now on the 880 AM frequency instead of 630 AM last year. Jack Michaels, an Ithaca College grad, will work as the play-by-play announcer and Bob Stauffer as the game analyst. Michaels is a rare American-born person that announces NHL games for a Canadian-based team. Reid Wilkins will handle the studio host duties.
