The Florida Panthers had to wait until the fourth round to finally make their first pick in the 2025 NHL Draft. They decided on left wing Mads Kongsbak Klyvo at 112th overall from Frolunda Junior in the Swedish Junior League. The Cats had the final selection of the fourth round and they choose left wing Shea Busch from Everett in the Western Hockey League at 128th overall.
Florida had the first pick in the fifth round and 129th overall of the National Hockey League Draft. They selected right wing Shamar Moses from North Bay in the Ontario Hockey League. He compiled 12 goals and 36 assists for 52 points in 66 games this past season. He tied for seventh in the OHL with 25 power-play assists in 2024-25.
The Panthers went with right wing Arvid Drott from Djurgarden Junior in the Swedish Junior League with the last pick during the sixth round at 192th overall.
The Cats added defenseman Brendan Dunphy of Wenatchee in the Western Hockey League in the seventh round with the 197th overall selection. Florida decided on goalie Yegor Midlak of Spartak Moscow Junior in the MHL with the 224th pick. It was the final selection in the seventh round and the 2025 NHL Draft.
