Dan Sileo Fired By WQAM

Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM fired midday host Dan Sileo on Monday after a ten-month tenure with the station. His last show at WQAM was this past Friday as Kevin Rogers and Brandon Guzio have been moved from evenings to the midday shift as of Monday.
It has been a downward spiral for Sileo at WQAM since the start of 2013. He was suspended by the station for two days in late January because of his twitter remarks about Erin Andrews of Fox Sports. Sileo also lost his job as Miami Hurricanes football post-game studio analyst after one season in early January.
He replaced Sid Rosenberg as the afternoon host on WQAM in April 2012. He was moved to the midday shift at that station in early September 2012 as Jorge Sedano took over the afternoon spot.
Sileo was the morning host on 620 The Sports Animal WDAE-AM in Tampa Bay until early March 2012. He was fired for making racial comments about several football players. His show was also syndicated to Orlando and Jacksonville.
He played for the University of Miami Hurricanes football team during the mid-1980's as a defensive lineman. Sileo had a stint as a sports host on Fox Sports Radio. He would host a late morning shift at WFXJ-AM in Jacksonville. He was a sports commentator on WJRR-FM in Orlando. Sileo hosted a morning show on several Clear Channel Orlando stations that included WQTM-AM, WFLF-AM and WYGM-AM.
