Heat Streak At 22, Top Raptors

The Miami Heat tied the second longest winning streak in NBA history as they captured their 22nd straight win with a 108-91 victory over the Toronto Raptors at Air Canada Centre on Sunday. They matched the Houston Rockets who accomplished the feat in 2007-08.
The Heat will try to stand alone with the second best streak ever as they face the Celtics in Boston on Monday night. Boston has won 10 consecutive regular season games over the Heat at TD Garden and they stopped the Rockets winning streak five years ago.
LeBron James led the Heat to the win with a double-double of 22 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists in 34 minutes. Dwyane Wade added 24 points and nine assists in 35 minutes while former Raptor Chris Bosh had 18 points in 29 minutes. Non-starter Ray Allen got 20 points in 25 minutes as he went 4-for-6 from three-point range.
Rudy was the leading scorer for Toronto with 27 points and eight rebounds in 37 minutes. Amir Johnson picked up a double-double with 18 points and 18 rebounds in 37 minutes. Jonas Valanciunas dropped in 18 points with seven rebounds in 29 minutes and DeMar DeRozan knocked down 12 points in 37 minutes.
Miami(51-14) finished the first quarter on a 15-4 edge to lead 27- 19 after one period. The Heat extended the margin up to 16 points and were up 55-43 at halftime. Toronto(26-41) went on a 10-2 spurt at the end of the third quarter and were down 76-73. The Raptors tied the game at 77-77 with 11:07 left in the fourth quarter, but Miami blew them away with a 28-4 run to put the game away.
