Rockies Shock Marlins

The Miami Marlins were upset by the Colorado Rockies 6-4 on Monday night at loanDepot park. The Marlins have lost eight of their last 12 games. Jesus Sanchez extended his career-high hitting streak to eight games.
The Rockies entered the contest on an eight-game losing streak and last in the MLB standings. They are on pace to set the Major League Baseball all-time record for the worst record in history.
Colorado(10-50) raced out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the first. Thairo Estrada doubled off the left-field wall to score Hunter Goodman.
Miami(23-35) answered back in the bottom of the first to take a 3-1 lead. Sanchez extended his career-high hitting streak to eight games with a ground-rule double to right. Augustin Ramirez then hit into a fielder's choice and Xavier Edwards reached home. Two batters later, Otto Lopez knocked in Sanchez on a single through the left side. Eric Wagaman followed with a sacrifice fly to right field and Ramirez scored.
The Marlins added one run in the second inning for a 4-1 advantage. Sanchez doubled to deep left-center field and Liam Hicks crossed the plate.
The Rockies pulled it to 4-3 with a solo homer by Goodman in the top of the third to center field on a 3-1 count. Tyler Freeman then had a RBI-single during the top of the fourth.
They leaped into the lead 5-4 in the fifth inning. Goodman collected his second home run of the game on the first pitch to center field for a two-run homer. Ezequiel Tovar was aboard on the play.
Colorado increased it to 6-4 in the top of the ninth. Sam Hillard drove in Keston Hiura with a double into the right-field corner.
