There are 15 teams that will represent Palm Beach County. The southern part of Palm Beach County consists of Boca Raton, St. Andrew's. Atlantic, American Heritage and Boynton Beach. The West Palm Beach area has Palm Beach Central, Wellington, Cardinal Newman and Forest Hill. Glades Central, Pahokee and Glades Day are from around the western portion of Palm Beach County. Palm Beach Gardens, Seminole Ridge and Benjamin are the only squads from north Palm Beach County.
Broward County, who will host five FHSAA state title games at DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, has three defending FHSAA state champions and 19 high schools overall entering the postseason. Central Broward County has St. Thomas Aquinas, Cardinal Gibbons, American Heritage, Dillard, Fort Lauderdale, Plantation, Stranahan, Western, Westminster Academy, Pine Crest and Calvary Christian Academy. Deerfield Beach, Coconut Creek, Marjory Stoneman Douglas and Coral Glades are from northern Broward County. Chaminade-Madonna, Miramar, South Broward and Avant Garde are part of the southern portion in Broward County.
17 high schools come from Dade County. Large size schools include Miami Northwestern, Miami Central, Columbus, Booker T. Washington, Miami Palmetto, Dr. Krop, Doral Academy, Gulliver Prep, Homestead, Miami Killian, North Miami Beach and Immaculata-LaSalle. Champagnat Catholic, Miami Edison, Florida Christian, Somerset Academy South Homestead and True North are the small schools in that county.
