Sal Licata WFAN Overnight Host

Former local sportscaster Sal Licata has been named the new overnight host at WFAN in New York City. He will start his new position on November 15.
Licata was the New York Yankees pregame show host on WMEN-AM from April 2013 until August 2013. He announced the 30-minute program from a studio in New York City.
He began his broadcasting career as an intern at WFAN-AM and was later elevated to afternoon show producer. Licata ended his first stint at that radio station in June 2010.
Licata joined SNY in 2010 and has held several capacities there. He has worked as a sports anchor along with being a co-host on The Wheelhouse, Loud Mouths and Daily News Live. Licata has recently been a sports anchor on Geico Sportsnite and weekly studio co-host on Baseball Night In New York. He became part of MLB.com as the Full Count program co-host.
He returned to radio in the mid 2000s to co-host a sports show on WOR-AM. Licata began his second stint with WFAN in 2018 as a fill-in host and was later promoted to the late night hosting position in 2019. He temporarily hosted a Saturday overnight show simulcasted on WFAN and CBS Sports Radio Network beginning in March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic and budget cuts.
