Trevor Rogers Finishes Second

     The National League Rookie of the Year Award was announced on Monday. Miami Marlins pitcher Trevor Rogers finished in second place with a total of 86 points. He received one first-place vote, 26 second-place votes and three third-place votes. Cincinnati Reds second baseman Jonathan India ended up winning the award with 148 points. 

     It was the second season for Rogers with the Marlins. He had a 7-8 record with a 2.78 earned run average and 157 strikeouts in 27 starts.
