Marlins Stop Red Sox

     The Miami Marlins blanked the Boston Red Sox 4-0 on Wednesday night at loanDepot park. The Marlins finished off a six-game homestand with a 4-2 record. The Red Sox snapped a five-game winning streak with the loss. 
     Miami(68-66) had a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Heriberto Hernandez singled through the left side and Kyle Stowers reached home. 
     The Fish added another run in the second inning to go up 2-0. Otto Lopez stole second, advanced two bases on a throwing error and scored. 
     Boston(73-60) fell behind 4-0 in the bottom of the eighth as the Marlins collected two more runs. Owen Caissie hit a ball to first and Nick Sogard made a fielding error for Lopez to score. Two batters later, Javier Sanoja drove in Esteury Ruiz with a single into center field.
