The Boynton Beach Tigers got by the Boyd Anderson Cobras 7-0 to win the District 15-6A runner-up spot at Otis Gray Jr. Memorial Stadium on Monday night. They lost to Dillard for the district championship in the following game of a three-way tiebreaker.
Boynton Beach(5-3, 2-1) got the first possession and took it deep into Boyd Anderson territory. The Tigers missed on a 23-yard field goal with 5:09 left in the quarter. The Cobras mounted an attack, however they loss the ball on downs on the Tigers side of the field. Both schools were unable to score in the one-quarter tiebreaker and had to be break the scoreless tie with in a Kansas tiebreaker from the 10-yard line.
The Tigers got the ball first and scored on their first play when running back Antoine Jerome rushed up the middle for the score to go up 7-0. Boyd Anderson(6-3, 2-1) took four shots at the end zone and were stuffed on fourth down at the two-yard line when they executed a run play through the middle of the line.
