For the first time in over four years, a sports format radio station appeared on the monthly ratings in September for the West Palm Beach region. The last time this happened was in February 2012 when James Crystal Radio owned WMEN-AM and Good Karma Broadcasting ran WEFL-AM each appeared. Both sports stations in the local market had not shown their ratings numbers openly published since then.
640 Fox Sports South Florida WMEN, which is run by Alpha Media, appeared in the September ratings. Good Karma Broadcasting currently owns two sports format radio stations in Palm Beach County with 106.3 ESPN West Palm WUUB-FM and 760 ESPN Deportes WEFL-AM. The ratings service will not have their numbers publicly listed.
WMEN had a 0.5 in September and during the previous month in August. They had a 0.7 in June followed by a 0.6 in July. It does help that the station has been part the New York Yankees Radio Network this year and going back to March 2008.
The only local show they broadcast is with Joe Raineri and Steve Zemach during morning drive. They have hosted the program together since January when they replaced Sid Rosenberg. WMEN runs the syndicated Fox Sports Radio Network for the remainder of the day and on the weekend.
