The Fort Lauderdale Strikers extended their losing streak to four games as they were shut out by the Carolina Railhawks 3-0 on Sunday at WakeMed Soccer Park. It was the final game of a three-game road trip for the team as they head home to begin a three-game homestand on Wednesday night against FC Edmonton.
Carolina(6-7-5) put in two goals during the first half and got out to the lead. Austin de Luz got a tally in the 25th minute and former Striker player Brian Shriver made it 2-0 in the 42nd minute.
Fort Lauderdale(4-9-5) was unable to cut the margin down in the second half. The Railhawks scored again during the 82nd minute by Matt Watson.
