The Florida Panthers defeated the Colorado Avalanche 5-2 at BB&T Center on Saturday night. They just finished a stretch in which they hosted four of their first five games to begin the regular season. The Cats now go on the road and play four consecutive road games as they visit the Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday.
Florida(3-1-1) received a surprise from their lineup to get the victory over Colorado(3-2-0). Rookie Shane Harper helped out as he scored the first two goals of his NHL career.
