The Miami Dolphins got by the Buffalo Bills 21-17 at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday. The Fins are now 5-1 at home this season.
In the first quarter, Miami(6-6) scored on their first possession at 9:42. Quarterback Ryan Tannenhill connected an 18-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver DeVante Parker on the left hash marks. It was the first touchdown catch by Parker since Week 2 of the 2017 regular season.
Buffalo(4-8) cut it to 7-6 at the 11:44 mark of the second quarter. Quarterback Josh Allen found wide receiver Zay Jones in the back of the end zone on a 15-yard touchdown pass.
The Dolphins scored with 40 seconds left in the second. Tannenhill tossed a three-yard pass to running back Kenyan Drake.
The Bills were able to overcome Miami in the second half. They got the only points of the third quarter when Stephen Hauschka kicked a 32-yard field goal at 9:02.
Buffalo got their only lead of the contest early in the fourth quarter at the 12:00 mark. Allen fired a 25-yard touchdown pass to Jones and then they combined on a two-point conversion pass to take a 17-14 lead.
The Fins responded on their next drive and capped it when wide receiver Kenny Stills caught a 13-yard catch from Tannenhill with 8:42 left.
