The Miami Dolphins fired their head coach Adam Gase on Monday. He held that position since the 2016 season. Gase finished with a 23-25 record in three seasons with the team.
He coached the Fins to the playoff during his first season in 2016 where they were an AFC Wild Card with a 10-6 record. They lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers in a first-round game.
The Dolphins dropped to a 6-10 record in 2017 and finished third in the AFC East. Miami began the 2018 campaign with a 3-0 record and were two games ahead of the defending AFC Champion New England Patriots, however they blew the division lead and ended up with a 7-9 record.
