The Miami Heat scored 22 unanswered points through the fourth quarter and overtime and topped the Atlanta Hawks 135-121 at American Airlines Arena on Tuesday night. It was the first time in franchise history that two Heat players put together triple-doubles in a game. Miami will host LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday.
Miami(18-6) jumped out with a 25-10 spurt and held a 36-30 advantage after one quarter. They were still ahead 66-64 by halftime. Atlanta(6-18) moved ahead 96-93 at the end of three quarters. The Heat scored the final six points of the fourth to make it 117-117 and put the contest into overtime. Miami scored the first 16 points of extra quarter before the Hawks got a field goal.
Kendrick Nunn dropped in 36 points and Duncan Robinson pumped in 34 points for the Heat. Bam Adebayo compiled 30 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists while Jimmy Butler gathered 20 points, 18 rebounds and 10 assists. De'Andre Hunter had a team-high 28 points for the Hawks.
