Money Talk Radio 740 WSBR-AM in Boca Raton ended their business talk format on Sunday. 980 WHSR-AM also stopped their brokered Haitian-language format. Their Beasley Media Group sister-station 1470 WWNN-AM has picked up some of WSBR programming and has been rebranded South Florida's Money Talk Radio Network.
WSBR-AM did have some sports programming during its 30-year span. Al Lombardo was their morning sports anchor, sports reporter and Saturday evening sports host. Jack Armpriester was also part of their sports department. The station did broadcast Florida Atlantic University basketball in the 1990s with Jim Gallagher.
980 AM at one time did explore into sports. Former Canada This Morning host and hockey reporter Gerald Edwards did have a Florida Panthers segment on his program from the late 1990s to the 2000s.
