Lakers Leap Heat

     The Los Angeles Lakers outlasted the Miami Heat 113-110 at American Airlines Arena on Friday night. The Heat lost their first home game of the 2019-20 regular season after being victorious in their first 11 contests. The Lakers have the best record in the Western Conference.
     Los Angeles sweep the season series as they won back on November 8. The Lakers have won eight of the last 22 meetings between both teams.
     It was a slight Los Angeles(23-3) lead after one quarter 30-29. Miami(18-7) outscored the Lakers 30-21 in the second and held a 59-51 lead at halftime. The Lakers took over in the second half and were up 88-95 after three quarters. They held the Heat in the final minutes of the fourth quarter.
     LeBron James fell short of a triple-double for the Lakers with 28 points, 12 assists and nine rebounds. Anthony Davis also got a double-double with a game-high 33 points along with 10 rebounds. Jimmy Butler dropped in 23 points for Miami. Bam Adebayo compiled a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds while Derrick Jones Jr. scored 17 points.
