South Florida Sports Review 2019

2019 turned out to be a bad year just like it was for all four South Florida professional sports teams back in 2017. All four clubs did not make an appearance in the postseason.
The Miami Heat finished tied for ninth in the Eastern Conference with a 39-43 record and finished two games behind to make the NBA playoffs. It was the final season for guard Dwyane Wade as he retired from the NBA after playing 15 of his 16 seasons with the Heat.
The Miami Dolphins began the 2019 season losing their first seven games. They won five of their last nine games to finish with a 5-11 record and had the worst record in the AFC East.
The Florida Panthers had a 36-32-14 record for 86 points and missed the postseason. The team finished fifth in the Atlantic Division and tenth in the Eastern Conference.
The Miami Marlins faded quickly as they ended up with a 57-105 record and finished last in the National League East behind the Atlanta Braves by 40 games. It was just the third time in franchise history that they lost at least 100 games in a season.
