The Miami Marlins have signed outfielder Matt Kemp to a minor-league deal. He played last season with the Cincinnati Reds as he compiled a .200 batting average with one home run and five RBI in 20 games.
Kemp has played in the majors for 14 seasons. He had two stints with the Los Angeles Dodgers and also played for the San Diego Padres and Atlanta Braves. His best season was in 2011 with the Dodgers when he led the National League with 39 home runs, 126 runs batted in and 115 runs scored.
