Jackson has worked at the Miami Herald for over 30 years. He was first noticed locally as a sports media columnist. Jackson expanded his role at the newspaper over the past decade as the Miami Heat beat writer and Miami Dolphins beat writer. He has co-written a baseball column with Craig Mish since February 2021. Jackson did guest co-host the evening show on Sports Talk 790 The Ticket WAXY-AM for a couple of years in the late 2010s.
