New Orleans(26-21) started with a 16-6 spurt in the first five minutes and were up 29-23 after one quarter. The Pelicans remained in front 47-41 at halftime. Miami(26-22) made it closer 72-69 at the end of three quarters. The Heat went up 86-84 with 4:24 left in the fourth quarter and never relinquished the lead.
Tyler Herro pumped in a game-high 26 points for Miami. Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo both had 18 points each while Kyle Lowry dropped in 17 points. Jonas Valanciunas had a double-double of 14 points and 16 rebounds for New Orleans.
