McMichael was drafted by the Dolphins in the fourth round of the 2002 NFL Draft. He was with them for five seasons and had 283 pass receptions for 3,089 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns. McMichael started in 80 regular season games with Miami from 2002 to 2006 and never missed a contest with the club.
