It was the final regular season game for the Panthers prior to the NHL All-Star Game break. The 2023 NHL All-Star Weekend will be held in the same venue next Friday and Saturday.
Boston entered the contest with the best record in the National Hockey League with a 38-6-4 record. They are on pace to set the NHL single-season record for most wins and most points in a regular season.
Florida is in the middle of a five-game homestand with the NHL All-Star Game interrupting it. They will resume their regular season schedule at home on February 6 against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
