Christian Yelich made his return to Miami as the Marlins topped the Milwaukee Brewers 4-3 in 10 innings at Marlins Park on Monday night. The Marlins will remain in the state of Florida for the next three weeks and won't play out of state until July 30.
Milwaukee(54-37) struck first in the third inning. Lorenzo Cain knocked in Eric Thames on a single to right-center field. They made it a two-run margin during the fourth when Jesus Aguilar homered to left.
In the bottom of the fourth, Miami(38-55) chipped at the lead. Bryan Holaday hit a sacrifice fly to left field for J.T. Riddle to score.
The Marlins took their first lead of the contest 3-2 in the seventh inning. They got back-to-back home runs from Starlin Castro and Brian Anderson.
The Brewers would tie it during the top of the eighth. Travis Shaw lined a base hit into center field for Yelich to touch home plate.
The Fish got the walk-off victory in the 10th inning. Holaday poked a single up the middle of the diamond for a single and Miguel Rojas crossed the plate.
