The Miami/Fort Lauderdale region remained the same among the sports talk radio competitors. It was a tie between Entercom Communications sister stations 790 The Ticket and WQAM for the second consecutive month.
Miami Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM dropped from a 0.9 to a 0.8. The station has not broadcast a game since early April.
Sports Talk 790 The Ticket WAXY-AM fell for the first time in six months. They were at a 0.9 since January and dropped to a 0.8 in June. Piping in ESPN Radio for the NBA playoffs seemed to be predictable had no impact.
Miami Sports 940 WINZ-AM remained at a 0.3 for the fourth straight month. The Miami Marlins played a ton of games on the road out of the eastern time zone during the period.
