The Miami Heat have resigned guard Wayne Ellington to a new contract. The deal is for one year worth $6.3 million.
Ellington, who helped the University of North Carolina Tar Heels win a national championship in 2009, has played the last two seasons with the Heat. He compiled 11.2 points along with 2.8 rebounds per game, .392 three-point percentage and a franchise record 227 three-point shots made last season in 77 games.
