The Washington Nationals won the contest in their final at-bat with a 3-2 victory over the Miami Marlins at Nationals Park on Friday night. The Marlins have lost four of their last six games.
In the third inning, Miami(36-54) moved in front. Starlin Castro was given a double on fan interference and Cameron Maybin scored.
Washington(44-43) jumped over the Fish in the fourth. Adam Eaton knocked in Anthony Rendon with a base hit into right field. Three batters later, Bryce Harper crossed the plate on a single by Wilmer Difo to right.
The Marlins tied the game up in the top of the fifth. Martin Prado walked with the bases loaded and Castro was able to score.
The Nationals won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. Mark Reynolds blasted a walk-off solo home run to left field on a 3-1 pitch.
