Longtime Philadelphia television sports anchor Ron Burke has joined WPBF-TV Channel 25 in West Palm Beach as a weekend morning news anchor and weekday news reporter. The station eliminated their sports department, which included primary sports anchor Jim Abath, from news programming at the beginning of the decade.
Burke first started as a Philadelphia sportscaster at WCAU-TV in 1988. He landed at CSN Sportsnet Philadelphia when it was founded in 1997 as a sports anchor and stayed there until January 2017. Burke moved on to a sportscasting role at WTXF-TV in March 2017.
