Chiefs Battle Down Dolphins

     The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Miami Dolphins 21-14 at Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt, Germany on Sunday. It was the first occasion in which a National Football League regular season game was played in Frankfurt. 
     Fins wide receiver Tyreek Hill faced his former team for the first time. The Dolphins and the Chiefs entered the contest tied for the best record in the AFC along with the Baltimore Ravens and Jacksonville Jaguars. 
     Kansas City(7-2) took a 7-0 lead at the 12:03 mark of the first quarter. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw an 11-yard swing pass to wide receiver Rashee Rice on the left side.   
     The Chiefs extended it 14-0 with 2:31 to go in the second quarter. Mahomes fired a 17-yard touchdown pass to running back Jerick McKinnon. 
     It became 21-0 for Kansas City with 33 seconds left in the second. Hill fumbled the ball and it was recovered by Mike Edwards. He lateraled it to Bryan Cook and he sprinted down the sideline 59 yards into the end zone. Miami(6-3) went scoreless the first half for the first time since Week 5 in 2021 against the Buffalo Bills. 
     The second half belonged to the Dolphins. Wide receiver Cedrick Wilson Jr. caught a 31-yard touchdown pass on the right side from quarter Tua Tagovailoa with 4:47 remaining in the third quarter to make it 21-7. 
     Miami cut it to 21-14 with 22 seconds left in the third. Running back Raheem Mostert rushed through the left side of the line and scored from 13 yards away.
