South Florida High Schools In Regional Finals

     There were 33 tri-county high schools that participated in the second week of the 2023 FHSAA Playoffs. 16 teams moved on to the regional finals.
     Palm Beach County had a dramatic drop from eight high schools to two. Palm Beach Central and Cardinal Newman were the only ones to win. Boca Raton, West Boca Raton, Pahokee, Benjamin, Santaluces and The King's Academy did not advance. 
     Broward County barely saw a change from 11 teams to eight. Cardinal Gibbons, American Heritage, St. Thomas Aquinas, Chaminade-Madonna, Monarch, Western, Coconut Creek and Miramar were all victorious. Blanche Ely, Calvary Christan Academy and Avant Garde Academy were defeated. 
     Dade County went from 14 high schools to six. Miami Central, Columbus, Homestead, Miami Norland, Tru North Academy and Archbishop Carroll won. Booker T. Washington, Southridge, South Dade, Miami Palmetto, Monsignor Pace, Palmer Trinity, Westminster Christian and Belen Jesuit lost.
