Knicks Overcome Heat

     The NBA In-Season Tournament continued as the Miami Heat lost to the New York Knicks 100-98 at Madison Square Garden on Friday night. The Heat, who have won nine of their last 11 games, fell to 2-1 in the East B Group standings and are tied with New York in the group. The Knicks, who have the advantage in point differential in group play, have been victorious in seven of their past nine games. 
     Miami(10-6) headed out to a 28-25 lead at the end of one quarter. New York(9-6) slipped by and had a 51-50 advantage at halftime. 
     The Heat scored 19 consecutive points to begin the second half and had a 69-51 lead at 7:33 of the third quarter. They would remain ahead 87-71 after three quarters of play. The Knicks had a 28-9 run in the first 11 minutes of the fourth quarter and outscored the Heat 29-11 in the final frame.
