Miami Central(8-3) scooted in front 14-7 over Booker T. Washington(8-3) at the end of the first quarter. Neither high school was able to score during the second quarter. The Rockets compiled 21 more points during the second half to put the contest away.

Miami Central Drops Booker T. Washington
The defending FHSAA Class 2M state champions the Miami Central Rockets knocked off the Booker T. Washington Tornadoes 35-13 in a Class 2M regional semifinal at Traz Powell Stadium in Miami on Friday night. Both Dade County teams have captured numerous FHSAA state titles over the years.
